Ashley McGee

College Counselor

Ashley McGee is born and raised in North Carolina. After graduating from East Davidson High School in 2008 she pursued her associates degree at Southwestern Community College to transfer to Western Carolina University. Ashley graduated WCU in 2013 with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice.


After graduation she decided to pursue her education further by moving to San Diego California and attending the University of San Diego. Ashley received her Masters degree in Counseling 2016, specifically focusing in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health.


Ashley's professional career has consisted of two years of College Advising and three years as a High School Counselor.

Husani Whitlock

College Counselor

Husani is born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2013, he received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri.


After moving to California, Husani began his work as a College Advisor for an outreach program providing guidance for first generation college students. His specialization was teaching students about financial aid, provided assistance in completing college applications, and identify scholarships. He earned a Master's in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling and Mental Health from the University of San Diego in 2016.


Husani has been working in the field as a school counselor for the past three years. He has a strong passion to help students and families navigate the college process.

Kimdinh Tran

College Counselor

Kimdinh is born and raised in Connecticut. In 2016, she received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Hofstra University in New York.


After graduating, Kim has experience working in the classroom as a chemistry teacher with Capital Preparatory Charter Schools in Bridgeport, CT. From this experience, she found her passion to work as a school counselor. Shortly after moving to San Diego, she began working as a college advisor for an outreach program for first-generation students pursuing post-secondary education. Kim earned her Master's in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health in May 2020 from the University of San Diego.


Students generally have an idea of what type of schools they would like to attend and it is Kim's mission to help her students narrow down the school that is right for them!
